Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling provides you with an experienced caregiver's perspective on the value of getting respite care and support, and its importance to your well being. Also, when you simply need someone to talk to who will truly listen and understand your feelings, our caring and compassionate staff are available.

Caregivers Club

Our monthly Caregivers Club events for family caregivers are a great chance to get out for a while and spend time with others in similar situations. In order to meet the needs of family caregivers, meetings are held on a rotation basis - morning, afternoon and evening. Call for the time of the next meeting. At some meetings a speaker provides the chance to listen and learn. Other Caregivers Club gatherings are simply for fun, sharing and the enjoyment of good company and delicious food.

Hugs 'n' Stitches

Blankets and afghans, hand-made by our Hugs 'n Stitches volunteers are given as a welcome gift to families new to our programs. Though family caregivers are our focus, Hugs 'n Stitches blankets are intended for the loved one for whom you care. Most often, our Respite Care Coordinator delivers the blankets, but they can also be picked up at our office.

Lending Library

Many times caregivers have difficulty getting away for any length of time. Out library of books, audio tapes and videos, which you can borrow for use at home, provide the opportunity to gain in important information without attending a workshop or meeting. Library items are regularly featured in our newsletter.

The Caring Connection

Each quarter we publish a newsletter that focuses on family caregiving issues and Range Respite programs and activities. The Caring Connection is a great way to stay on top of legislation and other important topics affecting family caregivers. It will also bring you enjoyment as you read about other caregiving families in our area, the many volunteers that help us bring our programs to you, and special events we plan that you may want to participate in. The newsletter is free of charge and conveniently arrives in your mailbox.
